Found on the streets of Bangkok, these authentic Thai Buddhist amulets have a rich history. Thai amulets, charms and talismen are made by Buddhist gurus for various purposes: invulnerability, good luck, fortune, protection from evil, etc and are made bo be worn.  They are in some ways comparable to "holy medals" in Catholicism. An amulet may represent a famous Buddha image or a significant Buddha pose, may be blessed by a saintly monk or may be intended to bring the wearer good luck or to keep  misfortune at bay.

These oxidized bronze Thai Buddhist amulet pendants in a rounded arch design feature an image of Buddha in a full lotus pose (a pose most often used for meditation) and a decorative border.  The reverse side has engraved writing on it.  The patina on this heavy brass Buddha pendant ranges from white/gray, to brown, to turquoise and green.  The amulets are sold individually and have an integral hanging loop.  Those with the rounded arch design are the smallest of the 3 designs that we have in stock, measuring 34mm in length (which includes the integral loop), 20mm in width and 5mm in depth (at the base which is the thickest part).  They are sold individually but please refer to the picture of our collection so that you can get an idea of the range of patinas that are available. We have a blue/pink patina and gold-leafed patina.  The back of the amulet is written in Thai.  It says merit making ceremony (commemorating a merit making ceremony at this famous temple that has this famous Buddha statue) Glang temple (Name of the temple) Bang Gaew District (a district in Thailand)

Newly made in Thailand to look ancient.

Please note that larger quantities are available by special order/pre-order.  It will take approximately one week to get these in.  We will accept back orders on these.
