Malas are strings of beads used as an aid to Prayer or Chants called "Mantras," and help in meditation practice in the Buddhist Religion. Mantras are Spiritual Prayers and are usually repeated many times.
Hand Malas are meant to be held in the hand, not on the wrist. Each Strand has about 13 Carved Bone Skull Beads, which makes an average circumference of 8". Loosening or pulling on the little black beads can adjust these malas. Each carved skull bead measures approximately 13mm tall.
