These stunning batik beads are adorned with the West African Adinkra symbol, Gye Nyame ("except for God" -- the symbol of the supremacy of God)
This unique and beautiful symbol is ubiquitous in Ghana. It is by far the most popular for use in decoration, a reflection on the deeply religious character of the Ghanaian people.
The small are ivory on ebony and measure 3/4 inch (20mm) square. You get a package of 10 beads. They have vertically drilled 1-2mm hole and are approximately 3-4mm thick.
